The ISO-KF Stainless Steel Blank Flange is also referred to as a "Blank-Off" flange and is used to close off unused size NW16 ISO-KF vacuum flange ports. Series 31 ISO-KF vacuum components are designed for use at subatmospheric pressure and use standard interface dimensions defined by ISO allowing them to be interchangeable with other ISO-KF compliant components. Series 31 components can be used as modular building blocks to create vacuum piping systems. ISO-KF vacuum flanges are joined by inserting a centering ring between the two flange faces, and securing them with a flange encompassing clamp.
The ISO has defined the interface dimensions, allowing the interchanging of components that conform to the ISO-KF standard’s dimensions. The ISO-KF system is a modular, building block method of creating a vacuum piping system. There are several advantages in the use of ISO components. Since component dimensions are standardized of elbows, tees, crosses or valves.
